Well, my stitches are all healed. I did get some turn out time yesterday and boy, was I excited. My Mum thought I sounded like a squealy pig. I couldn't stop running round. Tex just rolled his eyes at me as I was tearing round and round the paddock like a balloon with the air rushing out off it!! Mum and Dad were laughing at me, I eventually settled and decided to eat some of the lovely lush grass in the paddock. Once I'd had enough I stood and whickered at the gate until they came and got us in. My Mum says I am a funny duck Xx

Well, Jake and Co- you'll be very pleased to know.. I am no longer a funny duck ;D I'm a BIG BRAVE GIRL And I'm part of the lady herd at our farm. Me and my girls are really happy together and I now actually EAT the grass instead of run around on it! Well, okay, sometimes I do still run around a bit.. but now I do it for fun and not out of stress Mum is happy cos I've stopped running at fences and being stressy. I like my new life, and my leg has even gotten better enough for Mum's nice friend Lindsey to ride me up from the field bareback in a halter. Mum says it's 'progress' whatever that is.... I do love my hoomans They're the bestest!

Well, I haven't posted for a while- we've had soooo much snow and water, then more water. I've been an 'indoor' horse.... I don't much like rain and I certainly don't like muddy hooves. I let my hooman know this by unceremoniously stamping mud in her face....
She was *not* amused... in fact, she failed to see the funny side at all... and stomped off to find a towel whilst spitting grit out of her mouth. I thought she was looking a bit weathered, so I tried to help by putting a mud pack on her face... oh how I laughed ;D
It turns out, that she had plotted this week to 'get her own back'.... she brought out the saddle, I did my bestest rodeo bronc impression when she took me in the indoor school. I kept watching myself in the mirror as I cantered past, legs akimbo... I'm very 'flexible' you see... so it comes easy to me. My hooman said I'm not supposed to show off my athletic prowess EVERY time I'm taken inside, but there is a mirror and I am vain- so you do the math.
I did try to boot Hooman's friend in the leg as she attempted to gracefully mount, but to my dismay all my posturing was wasted effort. I did something called 'gentle walking' for ten minutes. Then because I had been well behaved (eventually) my hooman's friend took me out for a rather nice mini hack down the drive.
I shouted "Coooeeeeee, everyone!!! - look at me! I have a hooman on my back"... But they were more interested in playing in the snow.... you just can't get the staff nowadays!....

Jake says he still thinks you are a funny duck Kiki, although he does agree that letting everyone know you are in the vicinity is a good idea - he always shouts when he visits mcl's place just to let then all know that he has arrived!!

With this disgraceful weather, I think that I am actually starting to get webbed feet, my Hooman certainly is ha ha ha. So, I guess I really must be turning into a 'funny duck' ..... I'm sure I'm starting to sprout feathers..... *gasp*

Rosie says Hi back - misses the girly chats - geldings are just not so much fun, even though the one she is currently sharing the field with is a real gentleman & rather handsome (but don't tell him that!)
Jake says hello too & adds that although he likes the company, mares are not so much fun as they don't play! This one does like mud & food which is a bonus but she does keep bossing him around because she's in charge apparently!! His preferred answer to this is "Yes dear" ;D
