My eyes are still stinging from 2 days of tears, not only is it an awful and very unfair thing to happen to Pickle, it's seeing the effect it's had on the lovely people who cared for her. I can't even imagine how it must feel for them. Run free little one, you'll be so badly missed. xxxxxxxx

Thanks everyone, not felt up to coming on here so just seen this. She was one in a million, so unfair for such a strong healthy pony to be taken way before her time. Still seems very unreal. I know the pain will heal with time but boy do I miss her. I am even begrudging the nice weather as she would have loved it, sadly it was probably her zest for life that led to the broken leg, we think she was hurtling round the field and slipped. She used to do that for 10 minutes at a time, just going mad galloping round, and trying to get the others to join in. Which never worked for Lily, who couldn't be bothered with that sort of energy thing.
And my heart is breaking for G, the girl who Pickle choose to be her best friend. She doted on her and is devastated, spent hours grooming her and giving her funny hairdos. She took her headcollar home and slept with it. Pickle was very lucky to have had her loving her.
A truly awful week.

. and dont thsy just love doing that ..... ours were having a buck and fa** hooly round the field when I let them off the yard today and they were really enjoying themselves. There was of course the risk of slippage with the field still damp........... but what can we do ..... we cant not let them do it "just in case" Well I suppose if there is positiveness ........ she was doing what she enjoyed and had been allowed the freedom to do this time and time again to her hearts content.............and had a better life for it I have no doubt at all She looks such a darling ickle pone

She was such a sweet little pony with such a massive personality. I can imagine the huge huge hole the little one has left at the farm xxx
