I had to say goodbye to my beautiful boy last week. He was 12 years and one week old. Tollie was probably the most rubbish racer the greyhound circuit encountered. He had two races, and stayed in the trap both times, watching his five competitors chase off after the 'hare'. The trainer described his expression when seeing the others run as 'astonished'!!! He came into my life after I lost Jarvis, my first greyhound. By then, I also had Macy-or Moo as she was always known, and she came with me to pick a companion from the trainer. She warmed to Tollie straight away and the decision was made by the trainer to retire him at the grand old age of 2 because of his racing prowess lol!! I later found out that Moo had been his nanny when he was first weaned. The two of them were inseparable until she died last year. Tollie was a typical mummy's boy greyhound, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him for the rest of my days I'm sure him and Moo are over the Bridge on a very large comfy sofa together This is Tollie in his typical pose, showing everything he had!!

Awwww GH I'm so sorry to hear about this. One of my friends has some beautiful greyhounds and I have to admit until I met them I really didn't know quite how graceful, sleek, gorgeous and fun greyhounds were. I'm sure Tollie is with his beloved Moo watching over you
