Thank goodness! I can imagine that the days are getting longer again. This weather is getting me down. Winter is never a good time but we have had almost three weeks of constant gales and rain, interspersed with hail and sleet. The wee paddock behind the house is a slushy mud puddle,Quaddimodo has been into quadbike hospital 3 times already and still isn't starting and there are almost no opportunities for clicker training or riding. Boo,hiss. Mucking out and the disposal thereof is a bit of a hellish nightmare right now. Because the paddock is so deeply slushy (never happened before) it is impossible to push a wheelbarrow through it so all muck has to be bagged and carried up to the wee trailer, which then has to be pulled out to the front of the house to be attached to the car (Quaddimodo too ill to work) and then I have to 4 wheel drive into field, then lift each bag out of the trailer, stagger 20 yds down muddy slope and empty bags. Whew! I am knackered after this. The entrance to the field is now impassable even with 4 wheel drive and the farmer is still being bolshy about using his midden at the new increased price so I am in a big quandary! Double boo, double hiss. On the upside, the days will now start becoming imperceptibly longer and my outside lights have been fixed so darkness is lifting all round

That sounds absolutely vile Snigs! I'm thankful for every day we continue to have mild weather here. Massive winds, but even they have the bonus of drying my fields up quite a lot.
Look forward to Spring. x
