I've been thinking (dangerous, I know!) -
But what does Horse Whispering really mean to you, I mean- what are your core beliefs about it?
I know what different ideologies say. I mean what makes you journeys personal. Have you discovered things about yourself and the way you work with horses that you didn't realise before?

To me it means pretentious blokes marketing expensive equipment and scaring horses in a round pen....
What I'd *like* it to mean is observing the horse/donkey/mule you're working with and watching for that 'whisper' of a try so you can shape their behaviour.

Hmm..............think yhou've got a good point there,nic!
But I know what you mean,PK
To me, its the one sure thing in my life that has never let me down. I have met true friends through my attempts to understand it and my feeble attempts to practice it. And that's before I mention the humans I am also proud to call friends none of whom, sadly, I live close to.
It makes the long journey of life very worthwhile

I’v never really understood the term “whispering” as Tom is an argumentative little sod, with G you can do way less and all your instructions can literally be whispered.
i have always struggled with the traditional BHS way of doing things, and finally finding this like minded community, that has provided a more nurturing and encouraging learning environment has been amazing. I think the Horses appreciate it too!

It is a little community though isn't it? Can't we get some friends over who are allergic to FB and might like to join and old-fangled forum?
