Well, what more excuse do we need for some photos? My lot? Well, they're hell to catch... Tee Pee has come out of the winter looking very poor... Fin's a fantastic hacking pony... Who works beautifully at all times!

p.s. Excuse the poo all over the field, it's mortifying, but I couldn't do anything about it because of the op. They are moving field soon and YO has told me not to worry, he will harrow and rest it. Nice man. By the way, in case you hadn't guessed, Fin was NOT a fantastic hacking pony today. He wouldn't go anywhere without me, and he did a lot of impressing sideways stuff and tried to rush home. So back in the safety of the paddock he decided he couldn't rush anywhere. We put it down to the wind.

hehe - cool pics! I do think the wind can make a big difference to those fantastic hacking ponies. I've got one of those.... Reckon we can happily excuse the poo, what with you being lame and all.

When we thought about it, we were rather pleased with proceedings. When you consider that only a year ago he could be totally off his head just because of wind. Today he came eagerly out of the field to the yard, where he can't see the others. Stood nicely to be groomed and tacked up. Had only one slight hiccup when two feedbowls passed by him.. Then he rode out up the lane, didn't worry about the plastic flapping off a round bale, back through the yard and the plastic again with no problems. It was pretty good really.

Don't they all look well - I wish Jake was as didfficult to catch! He's always in the furthest corner of the field and thinks I should do all the work!
Don't worry about poo - our fields haven't been touched since before Jake had colic in November! But I'm now on the case. . . . .

Thank you. And to Karen to be fair, she seems to have a bond with him. She can only come once a week, and not even all weekends. When he sees her he knows it's his turn to go and do things. He manoevers himself around so he can get to her (the others tend to push him away a bit), and they go happily off down to the yard together. She's a lovely rider. I wish I could find someone as sympathetic to take Tee Pee on, but I'm scared I'd come up one day and find her in a flash noseband.

Lovely pics Shantih has come out of winter as poor as Tee Pee.... Shantih is on a tiny patch this morning as she refused to stay in the stable without winding Sham up! Fin is looking great, hard to believe that's the same horse now. I took Rash for a walk yesterday and she was quite hyper, I think a combination of spring finally arriving (after a fashion) and the wind was enough to set her off.
